About Us

We’re Here to Fix the Mental Health Crisis in America

The John Preston Foundation was created in response to the loss of our son, brother, and friend, John Preston Briley.  The loss of our loved ones due to suicide is a tragedy no family should experience. The John Preston Foundation exists to help prevent the loss of our family, friends, and neighbors due to the strains of mental health.

The Preston Project

The Preston Project is an annual event where we gather together with our friends and family to raise money for causes related to mental health awareness and suicide prevention. This year we are proud to support the Grant Halliburton Foundation and their Thrive Strategy.

About Thrive:

Thrive is a comprehensive strategy developed by Grant Halliburton Foundation for mental, social, and emotional health in schools. In addition to the Foundation, Thrive partners include Center for BrainHealth at UT Dallas, Children’s Health, Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region, GreenLight Balance, Here For Texas, Hope Squad, Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, and Rhithm.
